PLAN
The plan is to select, train and develop young leaders.

  • Select: Young leaders with proven potential are nominated and selected (ages 17-30)
  • Train: 40 days in the wilderness, before or during college
    • (at Wilderness North, the Olson- Sonstegard Leadership Institute)
    • Skills and values based
    • Learn by doing using proven Tentmakers training process
    • Case studies with senior mentors
  • Develop: Two years for coaching and development
    • Go out in teams of two (while attending college or working)
    • Receive coaching and mentoring from senior leaders
    • Select and train young adults, passing on what has been learned, investing in ten others who invest in fifty
    • Prepare for a life-time of leadership
    • Life-long membership in the Young Leaders Association

OUTCOMES
Life-long leaders who:

  • Love and follow Jesus Christ with their heart, soul, mind and strength
  • Cultivate strong families
  • Lead and disciple young people to know and follow Jesus Christ
  • Bring out the best in others
  • Build relationships with people of wisdom to gain and share wisdom
  • Know and defend the Bible as the authoritative and inspired Word of God, and debate issues of truth respectfully and compellingly
  • Teach the founding principles and values of the American Republic and its Biblical origins as it was envisioned by the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution
  • Become modern day “tentmakers” in the spirit of Paul the Apostle who lead the Church, industry, government, education and other walks of life.
