Journal Segments of One Participant Saturday, January 3, 2004 There's a full moon and the stars are spectacular. Cold, crisp night as I walked to my cabin. The moonlight created shadows on the snow in the birch forest behind the cabin. It is so still. But the Presence of God is almost tangible. Eleven of us studying "The Celebration of Discipline." I long for the "purity of hear" that results from unconditional and totally humble surrender to the Lord. I long to recognize each situation as willed by Him. I want a life of prayer. The only way to get it is to pray. Pray and Listen. I'm not as good at listening as I want to be. The silence here speaks volumes... January 7, 2004Solitude! The opportunity to "be still" and "know." I awoke this morning with a sudden awareness that a bright light was in the room. The Lord, and He was beckoning...asking me to exchange my desire for human love for the reality of His Divine Love. I have been praying for this exchange for two years. His Divine Presence washed over me like butterscotch. What a strange and new sensation. He left me content, and willing to die to self with joy! What a great Love is His Love! It is a Divine Passion. Hallelujah! I wonder at His power. The sun sparkles on the snow..diamonds...reminders of His integrated presence of light sprinkled in the walking of our every day. This was a landmark day! Thank you, Father.
